John Beard has put together a lot of information about the trailer towing requirements for all drivers who passed a car test after 1 January 1997. I was not aware that what I could tow on my licence was far more than anybody who has passed their driving test in the last 8 years. If you tow a caravan, car trailer, larger boat trailer, horse box or aircraft then check this out. If you do need to get the new licence allowing you to tow the bigger trailers then John's company can help with the training to get you through the test.
To build on 4x4webs continuing growth this we have embarked on two new projects. The 4x4classifieds section is now available for other companies to embed into their own websites. This idea has already been taken up by Dingocroft, Forgetec4x4 and Mudplug. This not only increases the value of their sites to viewers but any paid for adverts placed via their sites will result in 20% commission. Note if the site is hosted by 4x4web then we do all the work in setting it up. The second project is to launch a 4x4 Gift Vouchers page. In the first instance this will simply be a free links page to all of our logolink clients that offer gift vouchers direct to the public. Yorkshire 4x4 is based in North Yorkshire not far from Thirsk and offers BORDA training courses plus corporate entertainment, stag and hen parties etc.
Twisted Performance is run by Charles Fawcett and offers performance upgrades for your Landrover or 4x4 diesel powered vehicle. Includes intercoolers, rechipping, stainless pipes and exhausts.
Bofa is an independent offroad family affair and offers exclusive use of Cannock Chase, Staffs, 10 mins from the M6, on selected days through the year. They also offer treasure hunts and club days on and around Salisbury plain. Plus Independent winch, recovery training up to and exceeding Health and safety levels. Ultra Adventure Driving for Training, driving and corporate entertainment, offer 5 privately owned off-road driving sites in North Wales. a purpose built obstacle course, a large events site and a site purpose built by Land Rover. The largest site has thousands of acres and is one of the biggest off road sites in Wales. It is situated on a 3000 ft mountain.
Off in the 110 up to North Wales to visit our well established client Polybush. So whilst teaching them how to maintain their own web site and generally how web sites are designed to both be found by search engines and work rapidly the 4x4web 110 got treated to a set of "Comfort" black polybushes at a nearby garage. Well the result is a deffinate improvement in the feeling whilst driving over any bumps in the road. Well done Polybush.
Landrover Experience South East is another LRE site set up to provide both introductory training for owners of new landrovers and also to give high quality professional training to those requiring it.

Need some new tyres and can't get the time to go and get them, or is the nearest good dealer too far away. Etyres may be the answer. Online booking, at home or at the work place fitting. They also offer batteries so as the 4x4web 110 is still on its 1996 original battery I may give them a try as the winter comes on.

AJS 4x4 and AJS Tyres. Andy Sargent is a name I remember seeing on results for safari racing in my earlier 4x4 days. He now runs a specialist 4x4 tyre fitting and vehicle servicing facility concentrating on Landrover 90, 110 and Discovery. With 28 years experience and conveniently located in Surrey just off junction 8 of the M25 he has a large potential catchment area. On tyres he says that everything they sells has been tested by them so they can point an individual towards the best tyre for their application. Getting away in your 4x4 with Trailmasters International
I think that I have fancied a trip through the Atlas mountains of North Africa in my own 4x4 ever since I can remember. I am delighted to welcome Trailmasters International to 4x4web. They have gone for our combined advertising and hosting package at £20 per month plus VAT. Trailmasters is in my opinion the best known company offering North African Safaries with the right combination of unforgetable scenery, well equiped support vehicles and local expertise. OK so I am also tempted by SafariDrive for self drive Landrover hire in Namibia and more locally by Mudplug's Greenlaning in France. But Morroco and North Africa still would be my choice when I get the time.

4x4web is booming! The classified adverts section has earned a reputation for success and honesty. Every advert is checked before being displayed. Advertsiers are often asked for more information so that the final ad is as informative as possible. Our Scam Prevention Service for advertisers is I think unique with replies being manually checked before being sent to the advertiser. The feed back from advertisers seems to be a steady trickle of thanks and requests to remove adverts as the item has been sold/bought etc. My My 110 is going well and has been off for 116,000 mile service and new cam belt at Newbury 4x4.
We have done 4 trips to Wales with Lee James 4x4. I have also used HLR Training on the Somerset Wiltshire borders to do a days training. The Jackall high lift that I bought from Dingocroft has been put to some good use.
The annual insurance renewal from Gary at 4x4insurance for the 12 seater came through, full business use at under £500! My other web sites continue to be successful and we now have clients in Australia, Turkey, Russia and UK. We are an authorized reseller for the Actinic shopping trolley and have over fifteen running now. The Links page provides a links to many relevant 4x4 sites. We offer full ISP services including web hosting, domain names, web design, shopping carts and secure pages. Web space can be made available very cheaply for 4x4 clubs and worthy 4x4 causes. It is usually not known that we also provide broadband and remote Spam and Anti Virus servives to many companies. Our speciallist niche is clients who want a personal service (ie not an overseas call centre) and are willing to pay a bit extra for that.
