The Land Rover is an ex military GS model with 37,000 miles on the clock which I believe
to be genuine. I am only the second civilian
owner. It is a three-door van body
though a full canvas and stick set is included
in the price. The canvas is worn looking but
still very waterproof and great fun in summer or

2.25l petrol engine but I have modified it. It
now has the rover 3.5l V8. The engine is mated
to the 5-speed lt77 gearbox from a Rangerover
and through an lt230R transfer box from an auto

Tax Oct 08. Mot Feb 09. Stunning condition throughout. Just had major gearbox service and changes smoothly even from cold. Thousands spent to make the it one of best 300 Discoverys and now it's up for sale very regrettably. Lots & lots of extras & upgrades. She picks up far better than earlier ones as post 97 Autos had 130bhp direct from the factory to counter the sluggishness of the first generation. The seats are unmarked & the body only has very very minor marks. Excellent tyres. Superb chassis. starts and drives without fault. Recent work includes full service, new exhaust, all wheel bearings, new pads & discs, kenlowe fan, new alternator, new starter motor etc etc. It also has a fully working & non leaking sunroof plus fully working cruise control. All the electric windows work, the central locking works perfectly on all 3 doors & i have both original remote door/alarm zappers. Turner Engineering rebuilt diesel engine, runs
mint! Land Rover is in good overall used
condition with a sound bulkhead and good
unwelded chassis, all 4 tyres are good with
plenty of tread left. It has just sailed through
its MOT with no advisories at all (Next MOT due
13/06/09). Being a military vehicle there is the
odd scrape here and there plus hand painted matt
green paint! This vehicle was an Arctic
winterised spec radio wagon that hasn't seen
that much action, it drives very well, as you'd
expect for a vehicle that has only covered 57k!
The PO had his local LR garage remove all the
ancillary 24V equipment, so all the radio kit,
shunt boxes, etc are gone, just leaving the 12V
system, Most of the winterised insulation has
also been removed, but the heated windscreen is
still present and working, excellent on a frosty
morning! Some of the waterproofed kit is fitted,
including a raised air intake and breather pipes
from the axles and gearbox. It has just 3 seats
in the front with the back empty like a van.
